• HOME MADE MOSQUITO REPELLENT - Like enjoy the outdoors in summer, but find that pesky mosquitoes like munching on your sweet skin too much? Here's a very simple solution that works well. Get a white plate, put some water in it, add a couple of drops of LEMON Joy dishwashing soap and place the plate near where you'll be sitting. The mosquitoes will be attracted to the plate, and will drop dead in the plate or nearby! • Used dryer sheets are great to dust off your computer and TV screens. Not only do they clean, the antistatic property will treat the screen to repel rather than attract dust • Give the gift that pampers. Go to a craft store and find an inexpensive basket and colored cellophane or tissue. Then go to the Dollar Store and buy products to pamper with... bath gels, scented soaps, loofahs, bath brushes etc., Then add a coffee cup with a tin of flavored coffee. • Wrinkle Releaser: To make that new wrinkle releaser-use 1 part fabric softener to 15 parts water. Put in a spray bottle. • Build the perfect charcoal fire for your barbecue grill with no lighter fluid or expensive charcoal: Get two or more, (depending on the size of your grill) empty CARDBOARD egg cartons and fill each slot with charcoal briquettes. Place them in the grill, light the cartons, and you will have the perfect charcoal arrangement. • Remove soap scum from shower doors quickly and easily. Wipe with a used dryer sheet such as Bounce. For maximum effectiveness, shower doors and dryer sheet should be dry. Scum comes right off with little effort on your part! • Perfectly Grilled Meat - Are you tired of eating ribs or chicken from the grill that are wonderful on the inside and charcoal black on the outside? Precook your meat for a few minutes in the microwave. Then put it on the grill and it will be done on the inside before it gets black on the outside. • Treating a Sunburn - Apply Witch Hazel to the sunburned areas liberally with a cotton ball. Do this several times a day. You can also put the Witch Hazel in a spray bottle straight, or diluted with a little water and spray the burned areas. It will cool, soothe, and speed up the recovery time.... Uses for Salt • Get rid of tea and coffee stains easily. Wet th ecup or glass sprinkle with salt and rub away with the dish cloth. • For new panty hose, mix 1/2 cup of salt and 2 cupsof water; soak your panty hose in the solution for two hours; Rinse and drip dry. The fibers in the panty hose will toughen up and they will be protected from snags and running • Pre-Treat for Mildew - To prevent mildew from growing on your new shower curtain, try this simple trick: Before you put it up for the first time, soak it in a bath of salt water, then hang it up immediately. •To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes. •If you accidentally over salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant fix up.
